Christmas
Pageant - 2009
We
had a great day at Church of The Master on Sunday December
20th. From the moment you got to the parking lot and saw
the number of cars there already, you new something special
was going to happen that day. You walked into the narthex
and took your mittens over to hang on the mitten tree.
You entered the sanctuary and sat in your regular spot
but you might have found there was someone in it already.
Spots
were taken up quickly as folks were coming in, preparing
for worship and listening to a great Cantata.
Pris
and company presented us with "The Master Comes!". We heard
"O Precious Child of Bethlehem", "Come Run, Ye Shepherd",
"Follow The Star", "Starlight, I know why you're Shining",
"There is
Faith Music" and "A Festive Gloria". This surely got you
in the Christmas Spirit if you weren't already
there.
Now
that your 're there, what better way to finish off the
morning than with a Christmas Pageant. This great
event organized by Diana Davis a cast of a couple of
dozen youth
from toddlers up to teenagers was a fantastic play
for everyone to get get into the "Christmas Mood". There
were lots
of folks helping in the background to pull this off.
Maybe every seat in the sanctuary wasn't filled (almost
though),
but if everyone that was working for the play took
a
seat including those inside the camel we would have overflowed
the sanctuary. What a joyous day at Church of The Master.
After
the play we all went to Fellowship Hall for some after
show snacks. What a great morning this was at
Church of The Master.
I
want to thank everyone that was involved with the Cantata and
the Christmas Pageant. You helped put me in a great mood
for Christmas. Come on December 25th !
