MIDS
Group
The MIDS group is for young people in 4th, 5th and 6th grade who
would like to take part in a variety of social and service activities
to help prepare them for youth group. We had a great time at the
Great Godfrey Corn Maze and as an added bonus we got pie!! One
of the neighboring churches were handing out free slices of pie
to anyone who wanted them, I think we sampled apple, cherry, pumpkin
and chocolate! What fun!!
Saturday,
November 19th- Service Project- We have been asked to help with wrapping gifts for the St. John’s
Community Service Ministry Christmas party. We will meet downstairs
in the multipurpose
room at church at 9:00am and wrap until we are done!! Lunch will
be provided!! Please let Sue know if you are able to help out so
that we have enough food! You can call her at 838-3158 or 517-0164.
One of our church members is looking for some help walking and brushing her
dog. The dog is a big dog but very well behaved. She lives in off of Lindbergh
across from Schnucks. Please talk with Sue if you might be able to help out.
Mark your calendars for Dec. 11th! That will be a busy day as we present a
Christmas Pageant and then take some time to be together and create some surprises
for some of our church members. More details will be shared as the date gets
closer!!
Friends are always welcome but we need to know that they
will be coming and we need them to have a note of permission
to attend the event which includes
an emergency number for their parents. Please talk with a MIDS Sponsor or
Sue Kupfer if you have any questions.
